Hi, welcome to Lake Macquarie Travel!

 

Planning to travel is exciting but it can also feel daunting. Rest assured, that I'm here to make it so much easier for you. 

 

My love for travel started back when I was a young teen. I'd often pick up the expired travel brochures from the plastic cube sitting out the front of the travel agency in our local shopping village. I'd spend many hours trawling through them, choosing the most luxurious resorts and incredible experiences that I wanted to have one day. Amongst them were 3 that really stood out to me - Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort in Fiji, The Chedi (now Anantara) in Chiang Mai and a Galapagos Islands tour - and all of which I have since ticked off my bucket list!

 

My first overseas trip was on a school exchange in Year 10 to Japan, closely followed by two family holidays to Bali and by then I had undoubtedly caught the travel bug! With original intent to enrol in Uni for a combined Tourism Management and Education degree, I changed up my plans last minute and took an Administration Assistant role in a corporate travel agency in Sydney. Since then, I've gone on to work as a cruise specialist travel agent and product guru, worked for APT Travel Group, MSC Cruises, tailor made group tour operator and then in sales and marketing roles in accommodation and clubs. I've travelled to over 35 countries, experienced 7 cruises plus plenty more ship inspections, have had a two year stint living over in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand and my family and I are fortunate to now call Lake Macquarie home.
